Wordless Wednesday – Amber Waves of Grain & Sunflowers

Last Saturday I ventured out to one of our wheat fields and snapped a few pictures.

Spring wheat harvest will be here soon.

We hope for some dry hot weather during harvest.  Monday night we got a half inch of rain followed by a Tuesday high in the low eighties.

The mosquitoes are ferocious!!

This is a field of sunflowers I pass on my way to work.  They are so pretty I just had to stop for a closer look.

Hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!

Thank You, Amy! I had to cut my picture taking a little short; the mosquitoes have come out in full force and they are mean! As I am running out the door I am lucky to remember my camera let alone spray myself with OFF.

I love a sunflower field in bloom. That is one of my favorite views!! Thanks for sharing.

Kari, I agree. It is amazing to view yellow flowers almost as far as the eye can see. I don’t remember seeing any fields of sunflowers growing up in Nebraska. Corn, corn, and more corn.
