White symbolizes purity, cleanliness, innocence, serenity, and softness. White is frequently associated with the “good guy” or the noble white knight. Angels, brides and big bright pearly whites also come to mind. In nature white reminds us of clouds, snow and ice.
White clothing is an indication of authority. This is a sign that dissociates the wearer from manual workers in unclean environments. Medical professionals and scientists wear white coats to show authority and to protect their clothing in a practical way.
White can have some negative connotations too. Ever tell a little white lie? How about drive white knuckled through a whiteout? I am sure we all have some white elephants in the house and hopefully no white lightning.
Different shades of white come in antique white, cream, ivory, pearl or seashell, to name a few.
I have had a busy week at work. Last Tuesday we had a CFEL Club meeting and supper. It was a wonderful evening with neighbors and friends.
Wednesday J came in and said “Your house stinks!” J told me he thought it was the trash, so he took it out. Problem NOT solved. Little Dog got a bath and her bedding washed! I love a shiny clean dog sitting in my lap. I also got caught up on bookwork.
Last night I decided no more procrastination. No I didn’t press pants; I cleaned house. I have the bathroom to finish up tonight. My inspiration … I told my self no cooking or baking in a dirty kitchen. We are almost out of sweet stuff and I an itch to make yeast bread.
I am on chore detail this weekend. Snow is in the forecast for tonight. We need some moisture to settle the dust! The weather will be a large factor in what my weekend brings. I hope to be in the kitchen, do a little laundry and read.
I started Nicholas Sparks The Lucky One this week. I haven’t been reading much as I seem to be distracted by the TV, I am hooked on The X Factor USA. I have also gone to bed at 9:00 several times this week. I must need the extra rest because I have been sleeping good too.
Hope all of you have a wonderful, warm, and joyfull weekend? What are you up to? Do you have snow at your house?
