The Simple Things In Life

This week’s Scavenger Hunt prompts helped me to stop and observe some of life’s simple beauty.

The sunsets on a summer evening while moving haying equipment home.

The Rancher puts in long days, but we get to see beautiful summer sunsets.

My lily plant finally bloomed!  It’s so pretty and smells so sweet.

I may look like and sweet girl, but sometimes I don’t act like one!  I am kind of in trouble over a chicken.

If you hang around in the right place at MeatFest you can get lots of treats.  By the end of the evening Sammie was in a meat coma.

Funny Face, who me?  Like most ranch dogs Roxie likes to bring stuff in the yard.  She finds “doggie treasures” and lets Fritz have them.  When I let Molly out this causes some friendly turmoil.  I really don’t want my little house dog chewing on this stuff and often have to intervene.  This gets me lots of “fun hater” looks.

On the prairie, we have a lot of wide open space.  This picture is of the yearlings grazing.  Can you see the farm ground meet the sky?  Sometimes, it amazes me how far we can seen on a clear day.

I hope you take time to enjoy a summer sunset or the wide open spaces.  May you hang around with a few funny faces and enjoy the sweet things in life.

I love those sunsets! I haven’t enjoyed too many this summer, as I’m usually in bed before the sun goes down!
