Thankful Thursday – Nebraska State Fair

The Nebraska State Fair is near and dear to the hearts of my familyOur family has enjoyed many a State Fair.  We frequently had good luck in the showring and 4-H Livestock Judging arena.

J and I made a special trip to Nebraska two years ago for the last State Fair held in Lincoln.  The State Fair was moved to Grand Island last year.

My Mom started a new sheep adventure last spring.  Sister and Brother-in-Law found her some Southdown Sheep.  Mom requested Sister and I help her show them in Open Class at the State Fair!

Mom sent me these pictures of the “Downs” last week.

My trusty travel partner and I are headed south early Thursday morning.  J is busy on the ranch and can’t get away right now.

I am excited to see family and friends, check out the new fairgrounds, and show sheep.  Fun memories will be made at the State Fair.
