I had a few pictures picked out for today’s post. Little did I know that the pictures I already picked out would work for Scavenger Hunt Sunday. I just needed to find something patriotic and tiny. So, I got my Scavenger Hunt done a little early this week.
Our home decor is Americana and very patriotic. I have rustic looking flags, with an abundance of stars in red, white and blue.
J and I went to the Big City on Tuesday. In addition to our regular stops we did so some fun shopping. We also ate supper with J’s folks and Grandma. Wednesday we didn’t do much in the morning. It was terrible windy and we were tired from getting home late and unpacking the car. The afternoon we each did catch up stuff from being gone the day before.
This view from above reveals one of my photographic assistants.
Here is a mosaic of Purple Cone Flowers from the dry South Dakota prairie. The flowers have not been as colorful as normal due to lack of rain and an abundance of heat and wind.
Maybe after last nights 85 hundredths of rain the prairie will perk up! We are so glad to get a little much needed moisture.
Tiny stitches are used to make the unique pattern on my boots. I have a hard time finding shoes to fit my little feet, so I was so excited to find something with so much character! Mom told me not to worry, she won’t be borrowing them from me.
My house lily bloomed! I love its vibrant pink color and wonderful smell.
The first week of July has reminded us how to show our patriotism. May we remember the small stitches that make the mosaic of our lives vibrant and take advantage of the opportunity to try something above or beyond our expectations.
