What a busy week! I got home from Nebraska on Monday, spent a day at the town job, two days preconditioning calves and ended the week back at the town job. I didn’t plan to take this long of a break from blogging, but life happens.
It was a good trip to Nebraska! I got in some much-needed quality time with my folks, spent time at the State Fair and got to show sheep. Mom and I ate lots of ice cream (homemade recipe coming soon), did a little shopping and visited with family, friends and neighbors. Sister was home too and I wish we could have spent more time together.
Earlier this week Dad went to a specialist. This Doctor found an infection on one of Dad’s lower lungs and said this could be causing his health issues. They put Dad on two types of antibiotics and look for him to start getting stronger soon. Keep up the prayers and good wishes, we appreciate them.
The sheep didn’t do as well as we would have liked. Mom had a few second place ewes, but mostly plugged holes all day. In the big picture, our family was together doing something we love and enjoy. Mom is already making plans for next year’s State Fair show string!
Thank you to the friends and neighbors who helped make this year’s State Fair possible. Our family is thankful for your friendship and kindness.
