J and I spent yesterday at a Bull Sale. It was a beautiful January day. I looked for lace, but had no luck. I looked for Cowgirl Bling and had no luck. While people watching, I saw this gal and noticed her rings. Ahh, I thought, there’s my Scavenger Hunt bling.
We still have some old wood wind break around. Lucky for me this heifer was in the mood for a photo session.
The trees on the edge of this dam are another example of wood. The right hand side is a hay-field. If you look close you can see a trial to the right of the fence line. This trail is mostly used when curious yearlings go exploring and during haying season.
Fritz is a fuzzy girl.
This is also my picture for Kim Klassen’s Texture Tuesday. The prompt was to use her new texture Minus 43. I thought this texture would add a little color and decrease the harsh light from the snow. Due to computer issues I didn’t get to link up to Texture Tuesday.
Living in South Dakota during the winter requires warm fabric. I took this picture of the Rancher while checking calves last week.
Lots of stuff going on this week. This afternoon J and I are running the first calf heifers through the chute to give them a shot. Monday and Tuesday we have things going on in town. This weekend we have good friends coming to visit. In between times I need to do some cooking and cleaning.
Last week dealt J and I some hardship and sadness. We are lucky to have the support of each other, family and friends to be there for us. Thank you for your kind words, support and prayers.

I love that quote with your third picture too.
I’m so sorry last week was hard for you guys. Big hugs to you both.
Thank You so much, Candy! We all have trials in our lives, but we will be stronger because of them.
Fritz is fun to photograph due to her her “personality”. I also like her fuzzy coat and coloring.
So sorry to hear that you had some difficult challenges last week, but being a rancher’s wife you are one strong woman and I have no doubt that you will see your way thru the valley’s. It’s what makes us stronger. Sounds like your week ahead will be on a happier note!!
Thank You, Deanna. I appreciate your kindness. As the saying goes “Hard things are put in our way, not to stop us, but to call out our courage and strength.” ~ Anonymous
