It’s been a routine week we of activities for J and I.
The week started out with temps in the single digits Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday and Thursday warmed up to the 20’s and low 30’s. Friday the wind blew something terrible, but melted a lot of snow. Today it is in the mid 30’s and overcast. The weather outlook suggests spring is coming. Maybe by this time next week all the snow will be gone!
The first calf heifers keep calving along; about half of them are calved out now.
This afternoon we moved pairs out to a bigger pasture. The calves had lots of fun running in circles and bucking.
Saturday morning I spent the day cleaning house and catching up on laundry. The afternoon was spent at B’s house. She was the host for our Extension Club meeting this month. Read more about Club here.
Don’t be fooled by this smart and loving face. Miss Roxie is a naughty dog and may not be allowed back in the house until next winter. Unless it gets really really cold.
I hope you remembered to spring your clocks ahead an hour. I still got up at 6:00 this morning!
Today is my Grandma W’s 91st birthday! She always told me her favorite people were born in March.
Is the weather showing signs of spring at your house? How is calving going?
