Rabbit Creek Sunrise

I took my camera with me on Wednesday and snapped these pictures on my way to work.

Rabbit Creek runs north of our ranch a few miles.

I have never taken pictures with the sun in them before and am excited about my results.

Most of the year the creek runs about 10 feet wide.  These pictures are of the west side of the road and bridge.

The neighbors have some wild turkeys that are often on the road.

Wild Turkeys

Have you taken sunrise or sunset pictures?
Do you have any resident wild turkeys on your ranch?

South Dakota sunsets and sunrise are the best. Get out the cameras the photos are keepsakes.

Yes we have turkeys. I was rocking Ray this morning and he perked up when we saw turkeys in the alfalfa field in front of our house.

I love driving by and seeing the tom turkeys all feathered out! I thought these guys were a little tame b/c they are around the road and livestock all the time. When I got out of the car to take a pict I realized they can move pretty fast. lol!

wonderful pics……so pretty! You are an amazing young woman! Love the blog! Good to see the sun shine this morning, our creek is down from yesterday, froze last night, so that helped. We have to put pairs out across the creek, but we live on the right side so we can travel from place to place……….I am so ready for spring.
I will look forward to your next entry!

      Thank You Lynn!
We are so glad to have this snow melted off! J is *optimistic* enough to think we will get smacked w/ a major storm yet this spring, but at least we will start w/ new snow.
I am thinking of framing one of the sunrise picts for cultural arts and taking it to the CFEL Area I mtng.
