Purple Chore Coats

I captured the moon one evening when Molly and I were walking.  The sun is setting behind us and the only thing missing was a star or two.

All of our cows have numbers; it’s how we identify them.  The ear tags kind of look like earrings, but no bracelets on our cows.

Just by chance, the Rancher and I both have purple chore coats!  Fritz wears a purple collar.

I saw this fox one afternoon while J and I were checking cows.  The fox made no sound or music to let us know it was there.

On the other hand, thirsty cows drinking is kind of like music.

There are times when we feel like something is missing, the numbers just don’t add up like we think they should.  On those days we need a little cheerful music and inspiration to get us back on our feet.  We might find encouragement by looking at a beautiful moon, working with livestock or seeing the unexpected.  Sometimes a girl needs to put on a pretty purple shirt and her favorite bracelet and spend an evening out with her Husband and friends.  Whatever the case may be, may we find a way to re-energize ourselves and be grateful for our many blessings.

If I didn’t know better, I’d think you were K-State fans! Ha! I think I need a purple chore coat to go along with all my other purple clothes. Our cattle have just one “earring.” I enjoyed the moon photos, too! Have a restful Sunday, Robyn!

I do love Purple, Kim. Our school colors are Blue and Yellow or Red. After last nights game I might not sport the Big Red for a little bit.

Roxie and Fritz are NOT shy to ask for attention. The other day I had Roxie on the 4-Wheeler with me and she is such a talker. I asked J if he knew she was so chatty. He said “Yes, I don’t put up with it so she is quiet around me.” I thought that was sad and wondered how he puts up with my chattiness.

Molly likes attention too. She gets very excited when we get a visitor. When the mood hits her she likes to snuggle also, but always on her terms.

The cows look a bit curious about the fox!
