Peaceful Splendor

As I looked at the preview for this post several pictures would work for more than one of the Scavenger Hunt prompts.  But, this is what I came up with first.  Enjoy!

Part of moving cows to a new paddock is taking them to water.  Look what we saw when we got to the big dam!

Be like a duck. Calm on the surface, but always paddling like the dickens underneath.
Michael Caine

A few petals hang on as the wind and heat of July continues.  Hot dry weather is good for area farmers and ranchers harvesting winter wheat.  At the same time, 100* and 30 mph winds are hard on livestock, crops and the prairie.

With the lack of rain this summer the dam water is not as fresh for the cattle as we prefer

There are eight pretty pink petals on this flower from Miss B’s yard.

Do not watch the petals fall from the rose with sadness, know that, like life, things sometimes must fade, before they can bloom again. ~ Anonymous

Calm surrounds this cow as she grabs a bite of green grass.

May the peaceful times in our life help us keep a fresh perspective.  Times when we can appreciate eight delicate petals, the beautiful prairie sky and a breath of fresh air.
