Fall is in full swing around here! The days have been mild with highs in the 60-70’s. We have seen a day or two in the low 80’s. Sunday night we had a tenth of an inch of rain. The weatherman is calling for a cold front to hit tonight and a chance of snow. Yes, you read the S word! At this point any type of moisture will be a blessing.
I see my garden plants are slowing down, but still producing delicious tomatoes. If it freezes, my fresh tomato eating days are over for the year.
I hear an unhappy Fritz who is chained up. She is chained up because I am not happy when she “plays” with the chickens and kittens. She has lots of energy and goes looking for something to do.
J has been taking her with him more often. I think he makes Fritz do a little running to burn off some of her puppy energy.
I like the feel of cool fall air when I walk the dogs. The crisp mornings are refreshing. I also enjoy the birds and watching the sunrise.
J and his Dad got all the hay moved home last week. We also had manure haulers in to distribute the manure pile on some farming ground. J saved a few scoops of the good stuff for Miss B and I to use on next year’s garden.
Last Saturday our anniversary window was installed! I am working on a blog post for next week. Wow, what a difference a bigger window can make.
How are you experiencing fall?
