My Latest Projects

I have been working on a few crafty projects.

Kelly at Old Blue Silo shared her latest creative pallet project. I knew it was something I could and wanted do too. J helped me cut the pumpkin shape and I went to painting. I added a bow made out of burlap and I stole the leaves off another piece of decor. It’s a fun fall greeting in the yard.

Now for the real pumpkin. The local chapter of Master Gardeners has an annual Pumpkin Fest. They give prizes for biggest pumpkin and best decorated. After the judging they sell the pumpkins as a fundraiser. This is the first time I have painted/decorated a pumpkin to donate.

When I went looking for a pallet I found three old window frames. J said they were off our house and I could have them for crafty projects. Here is the window frame I completed. I had to buy paint and chicken wire; the birdhouse and birdie were off another piece. After a new color and coat of paint to freshen them up, on the frame they went. The “sun” is beaded garland that Sister used as table decor at her wedding.

And my works in progress. The blue is going to be a crib headboard or nursery decor for a good friend.

I am thinking about keeping the purple frame for myself. I am tossing around the idea of beaded garland and burlap to make it a spring decor piece.

What fun projects you are working on? Any ideas for the baby headboard?

Cute! I enjoy you sharing. I did a bedspread out of a paint cloth and added a fabric to the bottom, I wish I knew how to send a picture. Bill andi have been in Geneva helping my son harvest, I cooked and Bill drove semi, we came home yesterday. Favorite season!
