Moving Pairs

Here are some pictures from moving pairs last weekend.  The Rancher and I had a perfect morning as it was still cool after Thursday night’s rain.

One of my favorite things of summer is all the fresh fruit!  I try to keep my fridge full of berries, cherries, grapes, melon and peaches.   It’s so fun to have a colorful and flavorful variety to pick from.

J’s folks are visiting family right now.  J’s Mom encouraged me to help myself to her garden.  Another one of my favorite things is fresh garden produce.  I took her up on the offer and we have been eating fresh lettuce, peas and zucchini!  J’s Mom has a beautiful garden.  Thank You Miss B for sharing!

J went back to the big city this week.  I had a short list of groceries for him to pick up.  He brough home 6 ~ 2 pound boxes of bacon.  It was $3.99/box.  He thought we should stalk up after paying twice that much for a box the week before.  Yes, he got everything on the list too.  Good Man!

Growing up we watched Dallas.  I had Sister convinced that JR Ewing was her real Dad and our family adopted her.  Kids!

Dallas is back!  And I am hooked.  The Rancher thinks it’s too much drama.  I like it because it’s intense and holds my attention.  I have to watch every minute or I will miss something big or be lost on what’s going on.

What do you love about summer?  Are you a Dallas fan or foe?

  1. Sorry to say I am a Dallas foe – sorry I think it’s silly :).

My favorite thing about summer is fresh food out of the garden! Sleek cows and warm weather! Great photos as always Robyn!

I love fresh fruit veggies from the garden this time of the year too, yum. Great photos, I especially like the first one.

Thanks for linking up with Summer Daze!

Fresh fruit is one of my favorite things about summer, too! There’s almost nothing better than reaching for a tasty peach or some blueberries you picked yourself (I’m not sure about places to pick blueberries in Wyoming… but I know New Hampshire was loaded with them in the late summer when I lived there!)

We joke about watching dallas…do they use the same theme song? I don’t know how much fruit we buy, but the watermelons and cherries alone are some of the best things about summer.

  5. Visiting from Sall’s! We’re neighbors — I live in Nebraska 🙂

I remember Dallas the first go-round. My Grandma LOVED it and couldn’t miss an episode. I have fond memories of her watching and of course, I remember the summer that everyone asked the question *who shot JR*, lol.

    Loved your photos 🙂

    Enjoy your weekend!

I had to laugh at what you did to your sister when you were young, too funny!
Not a big Dallas fan here but I AM hooked on Duck Dynasty on A&E and Swamp People on History! LOL!!
I love fresh fruits and veggies and being able to walk out to the garden and pick them and then bring them right in and prepare them! YUM!

  12. Love all your pics of the cows/cattle and I am envious of your gift of fresh veggies….wonderful summertime treat. Dallas….hmm watched the 1st episode have the rest taped, how can so much drama happen in one family??

  13. Cowgirl Red says:

Beautiful cattle! Nice grass. Dallas … I was a huge fan. I haven’t seen the new show yet, but I can tell you recommend it. Summer … I love spending the hot afternoons in my air-conditioned studio. have a nice week. Terah P.S. I love the font on your comments.

    • Robyn says:

Terah, Dallas is drama at its most dramatic, but it’s cheap entertainment. If you liked the show before it is worth watching again.

Thanks for stopping in and leaving a comment. 🙂

  14. Marissa says:

Had a good chuckle at the thought of you convincing your sister that J.R. Ewing was her dad. Ha! I remember when I was a little kid everyone was at one time talking about who shot J.R. 🙂

  15. Kelsey says:

I too LOVE fresh fruit. But with the weather being so dry we haven’t had much luck with our garden this year. Love the pics, we too have cattle but haven’t had to move pairs lately. Stop by and check out my blog sometime! Kelsey from
