Miss P’s Barn at Home

This is Miss P’s barn at home.  It’s a tile barn that is over 100 years old.

This barn still has the old horse tie stalls, where they rested and fed the work horses.  P knows that the previous owners milked cows in the barn.  She says it stays cool in the hot humid Nebraska summers.

P re-did the roof last year and added the cupalo.  She thinks this 1940’s style decor adds character to her antique barn.

I e-mailed P asking about the barn.  She sent me this information and a great quote:

“It does my heart good, to look out the bay window, from the kitchen table, and admire something, that has stood the test of time, and think it’s too bad, it can’t talk.”

I think that about every old building. Just like our farm house.
What stories must be hiding in the walls, right?

    Have a great evening!
