Mile High Weekend

J and I took advantage of the nice January weather and got off the ranch for an extended weekend. We went to Denver for the National Western Stock Show.

We stayed with J’s Cousin (and good friend) Josh, Pam and their three boys. It was fun to spend time with them.

Here is a sneak peek of what we saw. I’ll give you more details on our trip in Thursday’s post. We saw lots of cattle, talked to breeders, took in a Rodeo and watched some jumping horses.

As for today we’re back to work! J and I need to sort cattle this afternoon as we are bangs vaccinating heifers tomorrow. Lets hope J is feeling good; he seems to have picked up a head cold.

Have you been to the National Western Stock Show?

Love the pictures! And sounds like J picked up the infamous “Denver Crud” – it gets even the best of people. 🙂 Good luck with Bangs’ tomorrow!

Oh, I bet the show was fun! Love looking at cattle all bathed and shampooed.
Hope J feels better. It’s never a good time to get the crud!
Hope all goes well bangs tagging the heifers.

No, I’ve never been to the stock show. Hope J is feeling better and that the work went well! Have a great week!
