Leap Into Spring ~ Eggs

As many of my regular readers know I like quotes.  This weeks Leap Into Spring Photo Challenge prompt is Easter or Eggs.  I have chickens and love farm fresh eggs, so eggs it is.  I googled egg quotes out of curiosity.  Turns out we can learn a lot about life from eggs!  All quotes came from this website.

Concentrate your energies, your thoughts and your capital. The wise man puts all his eggs in one basket and watches the basket.  Andrew Carnegie

I think one of the things that saved me is that I never put all my eggs in one basket.  Rick Schroder

If you’ve broken the eggs, you should make the omelet.  Anthony Eden

I remember the evacuee children from towns and cities throwing stones at the farm animals. When we explained that if you did that you wouldn’t have any milk, meat or eggs, they soon learned to respect the animals.  Mary Wesley

Man is the only creature that consumes without producing. He does not give milk, he does not lay eggs, he is too weak to pull the plough, he cannot run fast enough to catch rabbits. Yet he is lord of all the animals.   George Orwell

It may be hard for an egg to turn into a bird: it would be a jolly sight harder for it to learn to fly while remaining an egg. We are like eggs at present. And you cannot go on indefinitely being just an ordinary, decent egg. We must be hatched or go bad.  C. S. Lewis

The difference between involvement and commitment is like ham and eggs. The chicken is involved; the pig is committed.  Martina Navratilova

Green Eggs and Ham was the story of my life. I wouldn’t eat a thing when I was a kid, but Dr. Seuss inspired me to try cauliflower!  Jim Carrey

How do you like your eggs?

Thank You for all the nice comments!

I was surprised to find so many egg quotes. It was fun reading them and picking out some good ones.

My hens have been laying like crazy, so I have plenty of eggs on hand! I like to make over easy eggs and put them in a wrap with sautéed onion and mushrooms. Peppers are good too. We like scrambled eggs with Velveeta.

The B & W picture is my favorite too!
