Green Roof Barn

This barn is on the other side of the County from our Ranch.  It’s along the highway I drive to take the computer to the doctor.

This summer we have been dealing with computer issues.  I am OK with a computer.  I can do what I want or need to do.  I honestly expect my computer to work every time I turn it on.  No problems; no glitches.  I can not fix my computer and when it doesn’t work I get frustrated, because I don’t know what’s wrong or how to fix it.  J deals with the tech people and computer gurus.  I drive the tower to computer doctor to be fixed.

Saturday evening we went to a benefit for a distant relative that has been battling cancer.  This young man is a veteran, a husband,  a father, a rancher.  The community center was a packed house to show support for this young family.  The potluck was delicious and the auction outstanding.

I am facing a busy week.  Thursday and Friday is our local County Fair.  I am on board to help with the 4-H Static and Livestock shows.  Saturday we are doing some cattle work at home.

Are you a computer guru?  Do you attend or help at the County Fair?

I’m no guru – wish I was! I do go to our local fair, and have helped at the schools booth in the past. Good times!
    I really like that barn – it’s a classic!

  4. Brian King says:

Love the shape and the green roof! Handsome looking barn!

    • Robyn says:

Thanks Brian. I love your photography and look at your blog often. I can’t leave a comment as I don’t have a google account and can’t get openid to work for me. Keep up the great work.

  5. Jeannelle says:

Nice shots! I try to be really careful with the computer, but now that I’ve typed that, something will probably happen to it! Have fun at the fair.

  6. Karen says:

Thia barn has a great shape and colorful roof! Sorry about your computer woes. I just expect mine to work when I turn it on and get extremely frustrated when it doesn’t – really, it’s not pretty… Good luck with yours!

    • Robyn says:

lol! I am glad I am not the only one, Karen! It’s been working for a couple weeks and our fingers are still crossed.

  7. Barb says:

Really a neat looking barn. I like the green roof.
I get very frustrated when my computer doesn’t work. We are fortunate to have a computer store and tech people in our little town. I bought my computer there and they are very helpful.
I haven’t been to a state or county fair for years.
    Thanks for visiting.

    Hi Robyn,
Love the shape of this barn and it’s ‘face’. Looks like it might have a new green roof.
I taught computers to elementary kids K-5 before I retired. Luckily I had a tech person who fixed all the glitches. 🙂
I was in 4-H when I was young. It isn’t what it used to be this days. At least not in my area. I loved my time spent in the organization and the wonderful memories.

    • Robyn says:

Carletta, 4-H changed a little from the time I started to the time I got done. It has changed a lot in the last 10+ years that I have been out. I loved showing livestock, judging and meeting great people across the state. We often talk about the “good ole days” when I am home visiting my family and show friends.

  9. Jessy says:

Good luck with your busy week! Love that barn 🙂

  10. Barb Hale says:

Computers…can’t live with ’em and can’t live without ’em. Great barn though!!

  11. Deanna says:

What a pretty barn! So well kept and apparently loved.

I used to be a computer guru, but have come to realize recently that technology is quickly outdistancing me. I now know just enough to be dangerous!

  12. Candy C. says:

    Love that green roof! 🙂
I’m with you, if the computer doesn’t work I’m just lost! Same with the car! LOL!!
We haven’t been to our county fair in several years partly because it’s a 1 1/2 hour drive one way! We are in one corner of the county and the fair is in the opposite one.

  13. Buttons says:

Hi Robyn I love those barns. So sorry about your distant relative it is a awful thing cancer but the love from people surrounding us makes it somewhat easier to deal with.
I love the county fair I have been every year except last year it is always at haying time but I had a great time this year. Support your local fairs yes indeed.
Thank you for the comment on my blog I wish I could come for coffee too, I think we could use each other to bounce ideas and thoughts off of. You can email me anytime you know, my email is on my blog. I would like that hug and would like to give one back.
Take care Robyn and Thank you. B

Beautiful barn….keeping my mouth shut about computer woes!

  15. Beth says:

This is a beauty! I love the green roof and it has a cute ‘face’!

My husband is a computer tech guy who now freelances a little. He retired from being IT for a company in Cincinnati. We now live in our small hometown. He is now part owner in a Utica Shale RV camp and has been majorly involved in building and running it. But he still works on several business’ and friends’ computers. He is quite handy to have around for my computer issues (I love him for lots of other reasons).
I’m not involved in the county fair, but many of my high school students are. In fact we are the last school district around here to begin school—we will begin after the fair ends in the county where our school district is—Sept. 4, the day after Labor Day will be our first day. Our school board insists that we do not have school during the fair.

    • Robyn says:

Wow, a computer guru at your fingertips!

Your barn this week does have a split personality. I always think plants growing on the side of a building are neat.

Enjoy the rest of your summer vacation.

  16. Teresa says:

Hope you have a good week even if it is busy. I love the shape of that barn.

  17. pattisj says:

Nice barn and lot. Some computer issues I can diagnose and fix. If not, I have a tech son-in-law who offers advice.
