Flowers for Me?

Last Thursday night we got .80″ of rain!  Friday night and Saturday another half-inch.  In addition, the wind has been wicked the last few days.

I have mentioned before that I am not mechanical and tend to be unintentionally careless.  I should also add klutz to that list.  I often trip, stumble or slip.  I almost always catch myself.  Last Thursday afternoon I couldn’t catch myself.  I tripped going up cement stairs and am now sporting a pretty shiner and have 6 stitches in my left cheek.

This is the first time I have ever had injury related stitches.  I had my appendix taken out in 2nd grade and one another surgery.  Neither Sister or I have ever broken a bone.

Saturday I knocked off two more items on my 51 in 501!  I made these Scones (minus the blueberries) and Coconut Macaroons.

Sunday, I did odd ball stuff and tried to take it easy.

I got these pretty flowers from the town job bosses for Administrative Professionals Day.

How was your weekend?  Are you getting rain?

Prayers for quick healing, Robyn! So sorry to hear about your accident. Take care!

Thanks Kim and Elizabeth! The stitches come out Thursday or Friday and it’s healing up. I still have a shiner that is interesting in color.

  3. Tripping up the stairs is a unique skill, Robyn. Lol. But ouch!
Glad you weren’t more seriously hurt. I’m a pretty mean tripper myself.

Lovely flowers — thank you for sharing them at Your Sunday Best this week. 🙂
