Today I am writing in honor of my Mom.
Lessons I have learned from Mom: (in no specific order)
Cook meat low and slow.
Food is always a good investment.
List making and calendar journaling.
The importance of being independent.
Hard work pays off and you have to pay your dues.
Have compassion, especially for stubborn show steers.
Reading Counts. The more you read the more you are exposed to different ideas. Never stop learning!
The more you do, the more you have to do. This applies to most things from house cleaning to clipping calves.
The more you go the more you know; another line from our steer showing days.
Thank You, Mom, for all the hard work you have dedicated toward guiding me to become the person I am today. At almost 30 years old I appreciate your intuition, honesty, insight into life and friendship.
Happy Birthday and I Love You!
