When I was a kid, Mom had a poster hanging in the house listing some of Murphy’s Laws. As a youngster I didn’t get some of the adult humor. At the same, there is NO age limit to realizing “Anything that can go wrong will go wrong”.
Saturday night, for example, I am sitting at the kitchen table eating almonds. The dishwasher is humming and J has some interesting show on TV. All of a sudden my feet are wet! Apparently the dishwasher didn’t want to do Easter Dinner dishes!
Monday morning I turn the coffee pot on. I go get dressed and come back to the kitchen to find … the coffee pot exploded. If I don’t position the mis-matched pot under the drip than the basket fills up and we have a BIG MESS! I poured myself a cup of coffee, luckily without grounds in it, and cleaned things up. It’s best to get the bad stuff out-of-the-way first thing Monday morning; the rest of my day was quite pleasant.
My next project is teaching the little voice in my head to tell me … “Stop! Double check the coffee pot is correctly under the drip!”
I was looking around the Tasty Kitchen website one day when I noticed something on the sidebar … brownies with a Oreo layer! The Rancher and I are fans of milk’s favorite cookie and I have made these Oreo type brownies before. But, this recipe had another twist, a chocolate chip cookie dough layer.
I pretty much followed the recipe word for word. Very uncharacteristic of me, I know. I share with you, Slutty Brownies …. So Delicious and Completely inappropriate!
Don’t say I didn’t warn you!
Do you believe in Murphy’s Law?

Oh gosh, Murphy sucks. I hate him and his law. February and March were filled with his antics; I think we are out of the woods now. These brownies would help for sure!!
