Monday December 21st I got a package from Texas! Katy from Little House on the Horizon received my name for this year’s Christmas In The Country blog gift exchange. Katy admits to doing a lot of snooping on my blog and she did a great job putting together a package for me.
Katy sniffed out that I enjoy spending time in the kitchen. Some of the kitchen goodies she enclosed included foldable cutting mats, a cookbook, and meat rub made by her Husband. I’ve been curious about this type of cutting mat and haven’t purchased any for myself. I was excited to see them. New cookbooks are always fun, I like the adventure of trying new recipes. Sounds like Katy does to as she got the same cookbook for herself! Katy says that the meat rub is excellent on ribs, pulled pork, tenderloin or anything smoked. Sounds like a perfect reason to get out the green egg!
Katy sent me a few homemade items also. She and her kids like to craft and sent me a necklace. I happen to have a bracelet that matches it perfect and wore it on Christmas Day. The cattle picture with Bible verse was another original piece.
Barn Cat in the Christmas Tree is a children’s book Katy wrote!
From one ranch girl to another Katy wanted to make sure I am taking care of my feet. She sent foot rub. I have to admit, the rub makes my feet feel good and they smell good too!
I had two initial thought about the gloves 1) gardening and 2) they will work good while vaccinating calves as they are light and are made of a grip type material.
Sarah from Laze L Farms is the blogger I got to send a package to. Make sure to check out her blog to see what is in this box.
I want to take this opportunity to say thank you to the Christmas in the Country hosts, Jamie (This Uncharted Rhoade), Laurie (COUNTRY LINKed), Lara (My Other More Exciting Self) and Kirby (15009 Farmhouse). This third annual gift exchange was the best one yet! Thanks for all your efforts to keep this fun activity going.
