One of J’s all time favorite treats is a Chipped Beef Cheese Ball.
This is usually a traditional family appetizer around Christmas time. I decided to make it for J’s birthday. We can call it Christmas in July!
1 – 8oz package of Cream Cheese
2 Green Onions, chopped, tops and all
1/2 tsp. Accent
1 tsp. Worcestershire Sauce
1 – 2.5 oz can Dried Beef
In a food processor, chop dried beef. Set aside half for garnish.
Mix cheese, onion, accent, worcestershire sauce and half of the beef.
Form into a ball and refrigerate until serving.
Before serving cover cheese ball with reserved dried beef, serve with crackers.
I asked J why he likes this cheese ball so much. In true husband fashion he seriously answered “I like the flavor.” True enough, true enough!
Don’t plan to bring home cheese ball leftovers!
