Chickens and Thoughts

How is your week going?  I seem to be a day ahead; it feels like Thursday.  I have some chicken pictures and a few thoughts to share.

I like taking pictures of my hens.  Every once in a while I get the urge to follow them around and watch them be chickens.  It’s simple, relaxing and entertaining.  When I go out to the chicken coop the hens come running up to greet me, especially when I have my heaping full “chicken scraps bucket.”

I really enjoy photography.  It runs in the family as my Mom and Sister are picture takers too!  I almost always have my camera with me and am constantly looking for something to make into photographic art.  It’s fun to edit pictures and share my creativity.  I love the fact there is no mess to clean up!

I also enjoy looking at photos.  There are so many photographers that blog and bloggers that are very talented photographers.  I find great pictures to be truly inspiring.

I had lots of time to think as I was riding the 4-Wheeler during our weekend adventure.  A few observations and thoughts smacked me in the face.  I have been ruminating on these things and they have helped to open my eyes.  I think we receive messages when we need them the most.  I honestly believe things happen for a reason and are meant to help make us better people.

Love your chicken pictures! Taking pictures makes me look at things differently, what was once ordinary now becomes interesting. Hope you have a good rest of the week! 🙂

I believe that your artistic side comes from the Johnson side of the family. You have “the eye.” Not many people do. It takes talent and “the eye” to see things differently from other people. Be glad you have it! Life will never be boring.

We know Mom IS artistic and Sister IS creative! I have never thought of myself as either; I am too much of a perfectionist. Photography is one way for me to express my limited artistic side. Thank You for the encouragement!

  3. I love your photos! I am very partial to chickens 🙂 It is so relaxing to watch them peck around and just be chickens. I try to do it as often as I can and take a lot of pictures! Feel free to check out my blog for some of my chicken photos 🙂

Beautiful photos! I wish I was a better photographer. When I’m in the barnyard I always get distracted (Brandy the goat wants to play!) and the camera stays in my coat pocket.

Thanks for stopping in, Joan! I seem to be a quick photographer when I am out and about. I try to sneak in a shot or two while I am working. Sometimes I’m successful, sometimes I’m not.
